In China, the Buddhist teachings encountered the rich tapestry of Taoism and Confucianism, blending together to form the unique Han Mizong School of Buddhism. Under the guidance of enlightened masters, including Subhakarasimha, Vajrabodhi, and Amoghavajra, the Hanmi lineage flourished, translating numerous Buddhist sutras and tantras from Sanskrit into Chinese and evolving into a teaching that resonated deeply with the Chinese people.
